St. John’s Hospital (Sint-Jansgasthuis)
Since 1563, the sick have been nursed, and the poor and foreigners have been provided shelter, at the Saint John’s Hospital for centuries. It is regarded as one of the finest examples of early Renaissance buildings in the Netherlands. Above the date stone in the façade a statue of St. John (John the Baptist) can be seen.
